I am writing in the hope that Commercial Motor may be able to help with some information concerning haulage companies.
I hove been collecting names of haulage Firms since the late 1950's onwards and there are some firms, probably nearly all extinct now, that I need information on.
In recent years I have written to many famous long established firms and a couple of transport writer", but the information is limited and sadly most of the people never bothered to reply, a sure sign of the times. So I thought the next step was to write to a magazine for help, and since I have been reading Commercial Motor every week since about 1960, I thought I should write to you. If there is somebody somewhere who can supply information I would be very grateful for any details.
