MODIFICATIONS have be made to the range of hydraul metric tipping rams manufa tured by Telehoist Ltd of Cho tenham, which are aimed at sier maintenance and reduci down-time during routine r pairs. They will be on display Tipcon '82.
The major feature of the ir proved metric ram is that permits the removal of either tt seal or tube without the cor plete removal of the ram asser bly from the oil tank in which it mounted. This has bee achieved, says Telehoist, by r designing the largest gland n to incorporate both glan bearings and stop rings.
When this gland nut is r moved, it is now possible to r move all the tubes from ti outer tube to allow servicing the ram without removal of ti complete assembly from if tank.
