6,500 bus workers who have been on strike have resulted in a decision to spend £90,000 on improving spread-over shift payments. Penalty payment will start at 8 hr. 8 min, instead of 9 hr. 8 min.
The Corporation is to start preparation of new schedules based on a 40-hour week which, it has been conceded, " might be on the way ".
