WAS the Parlian-ientary Secretary to the Ministry of War --Transpert aware, asked Mr. Parker in Parliament last week, that local buses •did not carry spare tyres, and would he arrange for goods vehicles, making local hauls, to free spare tyres for more 'essential purposes?
Mr. Noe1-13aker replied that many buses did not carry spare tyres, because they could be immediately supplied from local depots. The provision of spare tyres for vehicles on local haulage was now under .con:Sideration with the Tyre Control, and the suggestion would be borne in mind.
