Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

There was a time when the idea of driving a Fiat in arctic conditions would have us wondering if it would start up in the first place. But the latest version of its Ducato has attracted much praise for the way it does everything in a competent, dare we say, un-Fiat-like manner.

The Ducato is part of the Sevel van collaboration (along with Peugeot and Citroen) but it distances itself from the others by using Fiat's Multijet engine — and it's this element that helps raise its game. Cold starting was no problem with the engine settling down nice and quickly. The cab is among the most practical in the class and the driver can make himself at home with plenty of adjustments, including the dual wing mirrors. On the downside several drivers felt the pedal layout was cramped.

Storage is a strong point in the Ducato; highlights include a low-level central glovebox and a handy retractable A4 clipboard.

Once on the move the engine proved its worth with torque available from low revs all the way through to the red-line. It's mated to a six-speed box that allows you to work the power plant, moving from cog to cog in a positive, reliable manner.

The unladen ride became unsettled on uneven snowy conditions thanks to the harsh suspension. Fortunately this was offset by the handling, which held no surprises and provided plenty of feedback.
