Iveco has reduced engine speeds in the latest naturally-aspirated 8060.05 six-cylinder unit while boosting power and torque. A new key stop and idle control has also been fitted.

Other improvements to the 79.14's driveline include the adoption of the recently typeapproved 4.18:1 rear axle in place of the old 4.55:1 unit which now becomes optional, and a new second gear ratio in the five-speed gearbox.
