A MASS MONITORING Britain's bus services has b. launched by Transport 20 the environmental pressi group.
Its new chairman, cam( writer Michael Pali launched the BusWatch ca paign in London last we saying: "The deregulation a privatisation of bus servi which is now going ahead over Britain is an enorm( experiment which bus us are insisting on monitori for themselves.
"Transport 2000, throu its national and local affilia and its professional and al demic contacts, has been al to set up this scheme on shoestring."

According to Transpo 2000 director Susan Hoy "The single most importa fact about a bus service whether it arrives at the h stop, but it is precisely th fact which the Governmetr 0 million inquiries will n he trying to find."
BusWatch volunteers, wl are aiming to monitor many of Britain's bus servic as possible, will pay particul attention to the quality of se vices and the informatic available about bus services.
The exercise is expected last for at least three year the period it believes will SI the market change from a r. gulated monopoly through deregulated period of con petition into deregulate monopoly.
