"14IGHLY successful " experiments

have been made by GrimsbyCleethorpes municipal undertaking running buses on a mixture of 90 per, cent. oil fuel and 10 per cent. petrol, Mr. J. Rostron, manager, has reported.

The takings during the undertaking's first month of operation were £7,000 higher than the combined amounts earned during the comparable period of 1956 by the separate Grimsby and Cleethorpes transport departments. One of the reasons may be that many persons who would otherwise have used cars have travelled by bus.

The Pelham Road depot, formerly used by the Cleethorpes undertaking, has been closed.
