Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ONE of the principal bus companies in Ceylon, the High Level Road Bus Co., has been directed to surrender its Colombo city services, but has been permitted to continue its provincial routes. The company's representatives were summoned by the Minister of Transport to explain why services were poor and told to arrange with another concern to take them over. Three other companies are also to be summoned before the Minister. Itis expected that the South Western Omnibus Co. will be asked to take over the High Level routes.

"EXPRESS" APPEALS WON AND

FOLLOWING an appeal by Lewis (Greenwich), Ltd., the Minister of Transport has made an Order on the South Eastern Traffic Commissioners to delete certain picking-up and settingdown points from a licence authorizing the East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd., to operate an express service between Folkestone and London, via New Romney. The points were at Lewisham, Eltham, New Eltham and Ruxley Corner He has also ordered that the vehicle journeys should be related closely to the numbers of passengers carried on East Kent's original service between the remaining points and the coastal destinations on Saturdays in June, July, August and September, 1955. The Minister has allowed East Kent's appeal against the refusal of he Metropolitan Traffic Commissioners to grant a backing for the service. An appeal by Lewis' in respect of their express services between Greenwich and Folkestone and Greenwich and Dymchurch has been rejected, with costs. It was against the South Eastern Commissioner's refusal to authorize single fares from Dymchurch, St. Mary's Bay and New Romney to London.
