MR. P. B. SILK has succeeded MR. J. M. MORRIS as chairman of the British National Committee of the Federation Europeenne de la Manutention, whose purpose is to integrate the European mechanical-handling industry.

MR. A. J. WHITE, is IO Succeed M. W. M. DRAvErts as general manager of Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd. Mr. White is at present general manager of the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Co., Ltd., and will take up his new appointment on a date to be agreed.
MR. DAVID LESLIE, Scottish regional manager of Ray bestos-Belaco, Ltd., is to retire towards the end of this year after 30 years' .service with the company. MR. J. R. GRAY has been appointed manager, and Mr. Leslie will continue in an advisory capacity until his retirement.
MR. T. W. JACKSON (Key Warehousing and Transport Co., Ltd.) was last week elected chairman of the northeastern area of the National Conference of Road Transport Clearing Houses. MR. W. STOREY (Ackworth Transport Co., Ltd.) was elected vice-chairman, with MR. J. W. FEARNLEY (Archbolds (Freightage), Ltd.), as honorary secretary.
