Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE THREAT of strike action no longer hangs over Lex Wilkinson's parcels business (CM, June 1), although it has still to settle its pay freeze disagreement with trades union representatives.

The company wanted to freeze wages this year and make other cost-saving changes to the wage agreement as part of its aim of achieving an "acceptable" level of profits this year.

Talks are continuing, with no early sign of an agreement being reached.
