Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WI I EN my Ford Sierra 1,6L needed a new carburettor after only 13,000 miles the Ford main dealer who titted it and charged f84.26 said they would make an "Out of warranty claim" to Ford on my behalf.

That was in the first week of January. To date I have not heard a thing from Ford regarding this claim.

I now wonder if there is such a thing as an "Out of warranty claim'', or does Ford treat all its customers this way?

I will certainly bear this lack of response in mind when the replacement Ford Transit conies on to the market in case 1 am tempted to shift my allegiance from Mercedes, for whose after sales service I have nothing but praise.

B. A. Mann Sudbnry Suffolk' PS. You will notice I have not complained about the passenger door window which fell out, or the fact the seat cushions went all loose and creased and had to be glued by the dealer, or the fact the headlining had to be replaced because it started turning yellow in places, or the fact the headlining had to be re-done after it started falling down, or the fact the headlining had to be replaced for a second time because it got terribly creased while they were trying to stop it falling down, or the fact that after only 17,000 miles the water pump had to be replaced.
