maximum output of 48kW(64hp) at 4,250rpm and peak torque of 139Nni(102 Ibft) at 2,000rpm.

The overhead camshaft unit is fitted with a Japanese Diesel Kiki distributor type fuel pump which is driven by the same toothed belt that powers the water pump and camshaft. Mazda has entered into a service agreement with Bosch in Europe who will supply exchange fuel pumps and service diesel fuel injection equipment for the Mazda network.

E2200 diesel vans have a higher 4,77:1 rear axle ratio compared to the 4.44:1 ratio fitted in the E2000 two-litre petrol van. Price for the E2200 diesel van is £6,099 plus vat.
