Sir Philip Warter has been reappointed a part-time member of the British Transport Commission. He will continue as deputy chairman.
Mr. E. S. Chapman has been appointed to the board of Pritchett and Gold and E.P.S. Co., Ltd.—manufacturers of Dagenite batteries.
Mr. R. V. Dixey, formerly secretary of University Motors, Ltd., has been appointed deputy chief financial officer at B.R.S. headquarters.
Mr. R. Dyke, formerly with the East Lanes Co-operative Retail Services, is the transport manager of the Gloucester Co-operative Society.
Mr. C. Dickinson, assistant traffic manager of United Automobile Services, Ltd., has been appointed traffic manager with effect from July L Vice-Admiral Sir C. H. HaIlet has been appointed to the board of Avdel, Ltd., Welwyn Garden City, the British member of the Avdel International group of companies engaged in the manufacture and marketing of industrial fastening systems.
Mr. A. E. Hopper of the export sales division of Leyland Motors Group has been appointed export manager of Albion Motors, Ltd. Based at their London headquarters, he will co-operate with the Group's four regional export managers in the expansion of overseas sales of Albion trucks and buses. He will also initiate business for Albion in new markets in co-operation with the export managers.
Mr. E. Carpenter, chairman of Associated Engineering (Sales), Ltd., is to resign from the board on September 30 to concentrate on his work as sales director of the British Piston Ring Co., Ltd. Mr. G. A. Hepworth, director of operations of Hepworth and Grandage, • Ltd., and a non-executive director of Associated Engineering (Sales), Ltd., since 1957, will relinquish his present duties to become executive chairman of A.E. from October I.

Mr. G. A. Ashley, formerly freight manager of the Transport Ferry Service of the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co., Ltd., has been appointed to the new post of chief traffic manager.
Mr. A. J. Brogan has been appointed north-east area sales manager by Chloride Batteries, Ltd. Based in Leeds, he will be responsible for sales of all Exide batteries in Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland. Mr. B. T. Brown, sales manager of Edbro-B and E Tippers, Ltd., Bolton, is retiring at the end of this month but will be available to the company in an advisory capacity. He will be succeeded by Mr. A. Thomas, who becomes group sales manager for the northern area, and Mr. G. W. Hennah, who will hold the same position in the southern area. Mr. A. MeCleery, traffic manager of the Ulster Transport Authority, is retiring after 43 years in public transport. Mr. W. G. Meyer has been appointed commercial sales manager of the Dunlop Brake division, Foleshill, Coventry. Dunlop also announce the appointment of three new assistant district managers in the London area. They are Mr. R. G. Irvine (Greenwich), Mr. P. H. Belton (Mile End Road) and Mr. J. H. Mitchell (Albany Street).
