Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANOVEL seating arrangement is used in 10 sitting-case ambulances based on Morris-Commercial LD01 oilengined chassis which Wadham Bros., Ltd., Waterlooville, Hants, are supplying to Kent County Council.

To give maximum legroom for patients, five separate seats on the off side have been placed at an angle to the longitudinal axis. They are faced by a continuous longitudinal seat for five on the near side. An additional seat beside the driver gives a total capacity of 11 patients.

There is a double folding door towards the front on the near side. Below the large central rear door is a specially designed folding step with four equal treads of approximately 7i in.

The body is of composite construction, panelled partly in plain aluminium and partly in 18-gauge stucco-finished aluminium. The stucco finish ha,s an attractive appearance, requires no painting and does not show scratches caused by brushing against hedges in narrow roads so clearly as a cellulosed body. Another Wadham innovation, this time in the standard two-berth ambulance based on the Morris-Commercial LC5 chassis, is a patented combined seat and stretcher rack, which is fitted on the off side. As a seat it gives comfortable accommodation for five patients.

The base is arranged to turn over by a carefully controlled movement to ' expose the stretcher channels on the underside. The seat is mounted on a locker in which a spare stretcher, medical equipment and so on, may be carried.

On the near side is a stretcher mounted on Morris patent low-loading gear, which is carried on a locker with storage for blankets and other supplies.

The most recent orders for Wadham two-stretcher ambulances have been placed by Hampshire County Council.

Wadham Bros., Ltd., are now experimenting with fibre-glass rear doors for ambulances. They are light and easily formed.
