Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BEDFORD 25-30-cwt. and 3-ton models are now available with a Perkins P4 oil engine as an alternative to the four-cylindered 76 b.h.p. petrol engine. The Perkins engine yields a maximum b.h.p. of 55 at 2,400 r.p.m., the maximum torque of 134 lb.-ft. being produced at 1,350 r.p.m.

Minor changes have been made to the radiator cowling, exhaust system and fuel tank.

The 25-30-cwt. model is the result of merging the 20-25-cwt. and 30-cwt. patterns. This has been made possible by the increased tyre ratings introduced earlier this year by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. The basic price of the new Bedford is £50 less than that of the replaced 30-cwt. vehicle and purchase tax is cut by £10.

Included in the standard specification are 7.50-16-in. (8-ply) tyres and heavy-duty springs, as were fitted to the 30-cwt. model. Gross vehicle weight is 3 tons 11/ cwt. and the turning circle is 46 ft.,tor 10 ft. less than that of the 30-cwt. machine. AC-Delco twin electric windscreen wipers replace the vacuum type previously fitted.

Lighter springs and 7.50-16-in. (6-ply) tyres can be provided to special order, the list price alloviance being £4 17s. 6d. The gross vehicle weight is then reduced to 3 tons 2-1cwt.

In order to standardize electrical components a 12v. system is now installed in 7-ton models. The new system includes two Exide 6v. 185-amp.hr. batteries at a 20-amp.-hr. rate. The oil-engined coach and bus chassis will retain the 24v. equipment.
