Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rOOD weather last year raised both

traffic and revenue of the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co., Ltd., Mr. Raymond W. Birch, chairman, told shareholders at the company's annual meeting last week. The number of passengers carried was 1 im. more than in 1954, and the gross revenue increased by £87,000, or about 9 percent.

The increased traffic was carried mainly by coaches. the number of which was raised during the year by the introduction of some 39-seaters. These enabled a substantially higher mileage to be run on long-distance and coastal express services, day excursions and private hire work.

Mr. Birch commented: "This additional mileage was an important factor in keeping down the average cost per mile of operation over the whole undertaking.'

There was also an increase in passengers and revenue on the stage services.
