Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ABERDEEN-BASED Grampian International Freight has been bought by Swiss firm Panalpina for an undisclosed sum.

Grampian runs 32 trucks from bases in Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth and the Netherlands. It is primarily involved in supplying the oil industry, and most of its work is continental.

-About half our business is road transport, the rest is freight forwarding.explains Grampian's joint founder and managing director Graham Thom. He stresses that it will be business as usual at the firm: there are no threats to jobs and the firm will continue to run as usual Thom remains as MD. with co-founder and chairman Bill Lamb staying on as a part-time consultant.

The purchase means Panalpin a, which has its UK base in Feltham, Middlesex, will take on a transport division for the first time. Currently, it concentrates on freight forwarding, with any transport subcontracted out to preferred hauliers. It does, however, have an oil and gas division, and has worked with Grampian for years.

Thom believes the move will give Grampian opportunity to further develop its business.
