• Caterpillar's 3406E 14.6-litre engine is scheduled for launch in the US later this year. It has an overhead camshaft to add stiffness to the fuel injection train, to help it handle higher injection pressures. The top power rating will be 373kW (500hp), combined with a maximum torque of 2,440Nm (1,8001bit).
