GO PLANT Ltd, a hire company specialising in mechanised road sweepers is fitting the Thermo-stop diesel engine safety cut-gut device to the remainder of its fleet after trying • it out on 60 vehicles over the last 12 months.

The Thermo-stop, made by P and J Gehler Ltd of High Wycombe, is mechanical in operation and under normal running conditions, but is preset to come into operation, cutting off the fuel supply, should the engine coolant temperature raise above 100°C (212°F).
