Providing frame and axle correction of all types of heavy commercial vehicle, the Blackhawk Bear heavy-duty system is of American origin and is now produced by Applied Power (UK) Ltd. It has a 30ft-long frame that is adjustable for width, and built-in turning-radius gauges are available for checking front-wheel alignment. A crossmember that slides longitudinally Over 200 hook-up attachments are included in the system, and a range of gauges enables measurements to be made of frame and suspension alignments. These include gauges for checking caster, camber and king-pin inclination. The system is supplied with a Porto-Power 20-ton master assortment of auxiliary equipment. Power is provided by a 20/25 hydraulic system with remote control which incorporates a pump and two 50-ton cylinders.
