• A former haulage boss has been banned from acting as a company director for five years after running up debts of more than £187,000.
Andrew Thome ran Gloucestershire-based Lydney Haulage Contractors which went into liquidation in May 1998. Walsall County Court heard how Thorne had allowed the company to continue trading despite realising in November 1997 that it was insolvent.
The court also heard how Thome allowed three vehicles, leased to Lydney Haulage Contractors by a finance company, to be sold.
Thome was banned from being a director of a company or from being involved in the promotion, formation or management of a company for five years.
