Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• At £548,000 the 10x4 Volvo FL10 which has just entered service with Butler Powered Access is among the most expensive roadgoing trucks in the UK.

The 46-tonne Special Types vehicle is a mobile mount For the biggest access platform in the world, with a maximum height of 72m. It is the only vehicle of its kind in the UK and the third in the world, says Powered Access managing director Mark Butler.

Hartshorne took a standard FL10 8x4 T ride, and added a hydraulically steered rear axle to cope with 30 tonnes on the rear bogie. The cab was moved Forward and lowered, and an FL12 hydraulic gear linkage system

has been fitted.

The rig

is 15m long and 4m high with hydraulic outriggers which, spread to 7m to level the vehicle prior to raising the platform. At the top is an aluminium cage measuring just 1.2mx2m for high Flying TV cameramen, lighting technicians or maintenance staff. The Volvo has a predicted service life of 20 years.
