Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• International Motors, which imports Subarus, lsuzus, and Hyundais, has shown the new Subaru Sumo microvans, and the bigger-engined Isuzu commercial Trooper to the UK public — but supplies of both vehicles will be limited.

The Sumo microvans will be included in Subaru's annual quota of 6,500 cars and vans. Of this, about 3,500 places are taken up with cars, and a further 1,000 places with the MV pickup. International Motors does not yet know how many Sumo vans it will get next year, but the total is unlikely to exceed around 600.

The situation is much the same with the new 2.8-litre DI 71kW (95hp) diesel commercial Trooper 4x4. lsuzu's annual quota of 3,400 vehicles includes 2,500 passenger Troopers and 500 lsuzu Piazza passenger cars, leaving only 400 for the commercial Trooper. For this reason, its promotion will be low key.

The new Sumo microvan range comprises a one-litre 4 x 2 model with a claimed payload of 630kg, and a 1.2litre 4 x4 with a claimed payload of 570kg. They are priced at 24,100 (ex-VAT) and 24,900 (ex-VAT) respectively.

The Trooper commercial has a payload of 740kg, and is available in a standard version at 29,800 (ex-VAT), or a special "Duty" package with a limited slip differential, headlamp washers and extra trim at 210,120 (ex-VAT).
