SHIPMENTS of commercial vehicles manufactured by the Nuffield group to the end of October, were higher by 88 per cent. than in the comparable period of 1949. which was a, record year. Deliveries to Belgium have increased by 200 per cent., and exports to the Netherlands and Sweden have gone up by 367 per cent. and 190 per cent. respectively.

Australia has also received more than twice as many vehicles this year as last. An order from Australia for 1,100 Morris-Commercial lorries fitted with the six-cylindered petrol engine introduced at Earls Court is the biggest order for commercial vehicles received by the Nuffield Organization from the Dominion.
