Amongst the contracts given out by Government departments during October last were the following :—By the Admiralty, to the Eagle Engineering Co., Ltd., for 5-ton trailers, to Stewart and Arden Ltd., for Morris 1-ton vehicles, and to Guy Motors, Ltd., for 30-cwt. subsidy-type vehicles.

The War Office divided an order for motor chassis between Guy Motors, Ltd., and John I. Thornycroft and Co., Ltd., and the Post Office one for delivery vans between W. J. Brown, Ltd., and W. Harold Perry, whilst the Crown Agents for the Colonies placed an order for motor road rollers with Barford and Perkins, Ltd.
