The Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1975 came into operation on August 1. From that date the test fee for cars and small vans was raised from £1.70 to £2.10 and the cost of duplicate test certificates from 13p to 30p. Appeal and retest fees were also increased.
