Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Horsepower, Haulage

Ted Hains is moving up from his post of general haulage director for P&O Road Services and becomes general manager of the 1,200-strong fleet of liquid and general haulage vehicles in succession to Philip Turner, who is retiring. Mr Haim joined P&O in 1965 and, until taking his present post after the 1971 reorganisation, was operations director of Ferrymiasters. ONLY 60 places remain for the CM Fleet Management Conference at the London Hilton on September 18 at which speakers from the industry will discuss current road haulage problems.

Reservations should be sought early for the remaining places which cost £21 per delegate.

Applications should be sent to CM Fleet Management Conference, IPC Business and Industrial Training Ltd, Surrey House, Throwley Way, Sutton Surrey; telephone 01643 8040 ext 4019 and 4020. Do not, however, send the fee with the application.

THE DKS version of DAF's 2800 truck tried by Graham Montgomerie (CM "Keep cool—gain power" last week) has 300-plus horsepower and not, of course, 3,000 as stated.
