Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Serdi Micro is a portable hand tool that can cut valve seals to the manufacturers original specification.

It can cut seats from 14 to 58mm diameter with guides between 3.8 and 12mm diameter at any angle below 50° to the head face.

After positioning the pilot in the valve guide, the floating head is released and the body secured to the head face. Having ensured the pilot aligns properly, the head is locked and the pre-profiled cutter is lowered on to the seat. Having locked that into position the cutter is rotated by a hand crank to cut the seat.

Each cutter, standard profile or special, costs £25 (ex-VAT) and are guaranteed to cut at least 30 seats before resharpening. The basic Serdi Micro costs around £400 (ex-VAT) depending on the specification.
