• Ford has just launched the revised Transit range, but this British registered model shows there are more changes to come. The oval grille echoes the Escort, Orion and Mondeo car ranges and looks set to appear on production Transits by the end of the year.
As we reported last week, the Transit is set to take a steering wheel air-bag. Other safety updates could include door reinforcing bars. An improved list of options could be on the way too. The Transit was designed to take air conditioning, and this might be offered on bus models. Chargecooling the turbo-diesel would further help to reduce emissions; the oval grille could improve air flow through an intercooler.
