rE production of a suitable heat exchanger for turbine-powered vehicles did not present an insoluble problem, said Mr. James Hodge, senior consultant, Power Jets (Research and Development), Ltd., when he spoke at the Birmingham Exchange and Engineering Centre last week.
There would be no exhaust-noise problem with turbines, he added. The only difficulty facing non-specialist repairers would be the balancing of rotors.
