Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Commercial Motor's Euro-2 Group test (page 39) puts to rest the myth that low emissions engines cost you. Our three-day test, run on fuel supplied by Dieseline, the owner-driver and truck fleet fuel card provider (Freephone 0800 393553), featured the latest Euro-2 truck engines including Cummins' Ml] and Perkins' latest Eagle Tx2000.

• Eight Mercedes 2527 6x4-based 3,200-gallon waste tankers have been added to the Whale Tanker Hire fleet, Coalville, now owned by TIP Tanker Rental.

• Dawson Rentals has taken the first batch of 35 reefer trailers on order from Schmitz Cargobull UK.

• International haulier Bryan Yeardley has taken another 11 Volvo FH 420s with CD Globetrotter cabs and Volvo's latest alarm systems. Part of an order for 43 low coupling height units, they have 60 aspect tyres and shallow Jost fifth wheels for use with highcube mega trailers.

• MAN is reminding users or repairers of its EDC Euro2 engined trucks not to attempt to stop the engine by stalling it but to use the ignition key at all times. Any attempt to stall will increase the engine power to compensate for the load. MAN says this is extremely dangerous for people working on or near the truck and for the vehicle itself. During work on an EDC-equipped vehicle with the engine running, MAN points out that the key must always be accessible to turn it off and when bleeding an EDC engine the ignition must always be switched on.
