• A Cornish truckstop is turning away diesel card customers because they upset the female cashiers by cursing and swearing whenever supplies of bunkered diesel ran out.
The managers of Trewint service station claim they pulled out of the Keyfuels system two weeks ago because it was difficult to get fuel deliveries in time.
"The abuse we got was just unbelievable," a spokeswoman says. "It's a lot of hassle and we're trying to bring in our own diesel but it isn't always easy to get the Keyfuels diesel. So we thought we'd dispense withWiot;soll-based CH Jones, which runs the Keyfuels bunkering operation, refuses to discuss issues relating to individual sites but says the complex formula used to estimate fuel requirements should ensure that no site runs out of fuel.
