Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QI hope you don't think this letter is a joke: it really happened, and I am being prosecuted.

Last month I was driving down a coast road which sometimes floods at high water_ It was low water, and I was delivering a boat trailer to a marina.

As I negotiated a bend, a small hovercraft was coming the other way. I braked but skidded on seaweed and hit the hovercraft, which spun off like a frisbee. Nobody was hurt, but I am being prosecuted for undue care and attention as my tacho shows I was doing 35mph in a 30mph zone.

HMV, Havering AThe mind boggles. What was the hovercraft doing on the public highway? What speed was he travelling at? Whose responsibility is it to clear the seaweed? What signs at the beginning of the road are there warning drivers to "beware of seaweed and hovercraft?"

The tacho really cannot be used on its own in evidence with regard to your speed.

The magistrates should get a good laugh out of this one!
