Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QI travel to and from the Isle of Wight and sometimes spend two days over there. I thought I didn't need a tachograph over there. Is that right? DR, London AIf your base is on the mainland you must use your tacho all the time. The exemption for this only applies (EC 3820/85 1311) to: "Vehicles operating exclusively on islands not exceeding 2,300km2 in areas which are not linked to the rest of the National territory by a bridge, ford, or tunnel open for use by motor vehicles."
