The association's 200 mem)ers can now enjoy the "flexbility of short term rental at ixed term contract hire rates," ;ays FIRS trailer rental marketng manager Colin Barr. Owner-operators sign a 12nonth contract with BRS but unlike usual contract hire deals, lauliers are allowed to vary heir trailer requirements — vithout a change in rental. All four BRS Trailer rental egions are offering this conract hire agreement; service ack-up is available from the WC firm's 160 UK depots. The scheme has been runLing for almost three months and around 30 Owner Operator (UK) members have signed contract hire deals with BRS Trailer Rental, which is now looking at undertaking similar projects.
Barr says: "Because of the quick success of this deal we have entered discussions with other organisations and other large groups of companies with a number of different ideas."
