THE Jelecz, Poland, commercial v eh icl es plant, operated jointly by the Polish and Czech motor industries (see The Comm -dal Motor, April 20, and August 17, 1952), announces that by 1967 it will have produced some 8,000 motorbuses of the Karosa type. Initial production of the Karciiia buse1. built to Czech specifications,

began at Jeleez in 1960. Output programmes for the bus have now been expanded. It is further stated that annual production of Zubr goods vehicles at the Jelecz plant is to be expanded from 500 units this year to 700 units in 1963 and to even higher levels later. Output of 10 metric-tonne goods vehicles will start at the joint works in 1964.
