won the 1962 National MA/. Cricket Competition for the Castro! Shield, heating the Northern General Transport Company in the final at Old Trafford, Manchester, last Tuesday. Northern General were all out for 79, Birmingham scored 81 for 5, winning by five wickets. These two teams jointly won the Competition, after a drawn final, last year. in this year's semi-finals Northern General beat Manchester Corporation Transport by seven wickets and Birmingham beat London (Central Road Services) by 10 runs.
