MR. JOHN AUBLER has been elected a director of Leyland Motors, Ltd.
MR. A. F. DURDIN, Capital Motor Co., Ltd., London, N.1, has been elected president of Islington Chamber of Commerce.
MR. HAROLD CUNDALL, general manager of the Thornton Engineering Co., Ltd., of Bradford, is also now in managerial control of the commercialvehicle sales and service depot of the parent concern, the Central Garage, Ltd., Bradford, at parry Lane.
Ma; P. A. J. LINFORTEI, until recently personnel manager at British Timken, Ltd., and formerly Midland representative with that company„ has resigned his position and taken up an appointment with Silentbloe, Ltd., and its subsidiary company, Andre Rubber Co., Ltd. He will be concerned with
technical and commercial developments of these companies' products in the Midlands.
MR. LAURENCE GREIG, permanentway engineer in charge of civil engineering in Edinburgh Transport Department, has been appointed engineer-manager of the municipaltransport system of Dunedin, New Zealand,. as from January I, 1946. He has been connected with the transport of the city for 20 years, and is a member of the Institute of Transport.
Mn. STEWART OWLER Who, for many years, represented the Thornycroft concern in the Liverpool area, has been appointed director of the Ministry of Works for the North-western Region, with headquarters in Manchester. In 1940, Mr. Owler, who is well known to commercial vehicle operators in Lancashire,: went to .'Singapore to become chaitman and managing director of John I. thornycreft (Singapore), Ltd...
