They were two very good friends, motorists of recent attainment, always yarning and pulling each' other's legs, often with a sly glance towards amused listeners.
One had been recounting his deeds of prowess and his achievements on a recent tour—the distance he had covered, the places he had seen, the way in which he had kept clear of the madding crowds of motor coaches. " Look here, Colonel Forster-Fitzherbert," said his friend quizzically, "in my opinion, you are nothing more than a conversational road-hog, and you seek every opportunity to step on the gas!"
