I WOULD like to express my support for a rise in the speed limit for trucks on single carriageway Aroads to 50mph, on the grounds of improved driveability and efficiency. Often due to the overall gearing of modern trucks, you have to travel a gear down, and at higher revs to hold 40mph without labouring the engine. A 50mph could also reduce congestion.
