• Time is running out to book your place at the 1999 Fleet Management Conference on 26 October at the National Motorcycle Museum. Organised by Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, Truck and Truck & Driver, and sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, the conference themes are Managing the Issues and Managing the People.
Speakers will include Alan Jones of TNT Express, Peter Agar of the CBI, Dennis Taylor of ANC, and John Harvey of Tibbett 8c. Britten. Among the topics under discussion will be customer care and partnerships; controlling fuel costs; how to use IT to ensure strong business growth; and profitable partnerships between medium-size operators.
