• A man who obtained diesel with a fuel card stolen from Llanelli-based Wynford North Transport has been put on probation for a year, ordered to do 60 hours of community service and told to pay just £400 compensation.
Martyn Maur, of Downing Street, Llanelli, pleaded guilty to seven charges of theft.
Llanelli magistrates heard that the company had lost £4,498-worth of fuel after a fuel card stolen from its offices was used to obtain 6,714 litres of diesel. Some Of the fuel went into Maur's ERF and some into a car—most of it was put into drums, A second man is still wanted for questioning.
