F OLLOWING an appeal, the Minister 1 of Transport has ordered the West Midland Licensing Authority to grant Stockland Garage, Ltd., a licence to operate an additional tour from Erdington to Ilfracombe.

The Authority had refused to allow the additional tour when granting Stockland Garage a licence to continue excursions and tours from Ei.clington. The appeal was heard by Sir Robert H. Tolerton in Birmingham on June 2.

" ILLEGAL" TRIPS BLESSED A COACH concern that has been miming excursions to Blackpool for many years without a road service licence was, last week, given permission by the South Wales Licensing Authority to continue the trips on a legal basis. Granting a licence to Messrs. Liynfi Motor Services, Maesteg, to run excursions to Blackpool during miners holidays and Blackpool illuminations, the chairman of the Authority, Mr. C. R. Hodgson, said: " We bless your illegal operations.'
