SEVERAL NEW vehicles are being displayed by Seddon Atkinson including the new range of 16-4onnens fully described in CM last week. The standard cab model on display utilises a Rolls-Royce engine of 160kW (214bhp) coupled, as in the case of the Cummins unit, to a nine-speed Fuller box.

The eight-wheeler from the 400 Series range on show has a 6LXB Gardner engine and David Brown gearbox.

This chassis is the firSt to be built with the optional Eaton five-speed geartox -and 356mm (14in) clutch. The high cab is designed to allow a 'seven-man crew to change into and ,out of wet weather clothing.
