Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

pRITIStl. ROAD SERVICES rates for

general haulage are to be increased by 5 per cent from June I. This follows the recornm endations of the Road Haulage Association, of which BRS companies are contract members.

BRS says the increase is the result of higher wages costs, the 50 per cent rise in motor vehicle duties, increases in national insurance and pension contributions, and many other items, The previous rate increase was made in November last to recover the extra bd, a gallon fuel duty.

Parcels rates, which have remained unaltered since May, 1964, are also tieing revised to bring them into line with current operating costs.
