ALTHOUGH times are hard, hauliers in the Midlands can still find money for good causes. Members of the RHA Coventry, Rugby and North Warwickshire sub-area have a tradition of charity, the latest illustration of which is the gift of a Talbot Avenger estate car to Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry.
It will carry technicians to home dialysis units around Coventry and take patients on holiday to Dawlish in Devon, where there is a similar unit.
With the ending of Avenger production later in the year, the car may eventually become a collector's item, which would be eminently appropriate to something bought from collections.
