Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE PRICES of Volvo Hydraulics' V30 and V33 variable pumps havt been reduced by an overall 22 per cent. When added to quantip discounts, this leads, says Volvo, to a reduction of up to 40 per cen. on the present retail price. Several factors, including the favourabk UK/Swedish currency exchange, are said to have accounted for th( reduction.

According to Volvo, much development work has been carried out on the machines to make sure quality is matched by a wider application potential. There are up to 27 control functions currently available to cover most mobile and industrial fields.

Lower noise levels have been achieved by extensive redesigning of the valve plates in both the V30 and V33, and the pumps have been uprated to a maxi mum continuous workini pressure of 350 bar.

There are three sizes of eacl type of pump with 35, 66 am 1 2 8cc/rev units which an claimed to have peak efficienc rates of over 90 per cent.

The V33 is for use with closet circuit hydrostatic transmissior systems, while the V30 is fo open circuits.
