Scotland

Glasgow: The General Terminus Quay road is closed until April. , diversion and access to other quays is signposted.

M90: Lane closures in both carriageways between junctions 3 an 4 due to subsidence. Hazard warning lights are in use, and extrem caution is advised.

Northern England

M6: The Preston by-pass will be resurfaced between Higher Wa ton ridge and the M6/61 interchange (junction 30), and work wi continue until Easter. Four lanes will remain open, with northboun traffic being diverted via the M61.

M61: This will be closed between junction 8 and the M6/ME interchange. Alternative routes will be signposted, but drivers ar urged to avoid the area at peak times.

M63: Watch out for temporary signs and possible congestion ch.. to motorway extension at Stockport and Cheadle. There will be lar closures, and lorry and plant movement in the area.

A19: Southbound traffic is being diverted from the Thirsk by-pa on to contra-flow lanes on the northbound carriageway while repai, are carried out on the Kilvington underbridge. These will last urr the end of this month.

A59: Improvements to the Broughton Bridge-Micklethorn sectic will last until March 1982.

Midlands

Al: The Foston by-pass in Lincolnshire will have its northbour carriageway closed until late June. Two-way traffic is operating c the southbound carriageway, and overtaking is banned.

Wales and the West

Penzance: The Ross Swing Bridge is being repaired, and drive are urged to use the Market Jew Street route as an alternative. TI Work is due to finish next month.

M4: The London-bound carriageway restaurant is closed at Met bury services until May, but drivers can still gain access westbound facilities by using the footbridge.

M5: There will be lane closures between junctions 7 and 8 ur June while a major reconstruction programme is carried out.

South-east England

Al: Lane closures continue this month the Rowley Lane flyo■ (Barnet by-pass) is rebuilt. Most are at weekends.

A27: Due to repairs at Chidham, West Sussex, four-way trai signals are in use at Cot Lane and Broad Road junction.

Ireland

Dublin: Major roadworks at Bachelor's Walk will result in divi sions until May. At least one lane is in use at all times.

International

All lorries using the Grand St Bernard Tunnel between Switz( land and Italy will need snow chains until April. Otherwise, they rn. be refused entry.

The Customs post between Hungary and Austria at Sepron/Klir enbach is closed to goods vehicles until April 30.
