A range of engineering adhesives and sealants developed by Loctite primarily for workshop use includes a gasket eliminator which is designed to replace thin paper, cork and fibre gaskets. It seals instantly against fuel, lubricants and coolants, and, the manufacturer claims, it can with stand pressures of up to 689.5kN (100 psi) immediately on assembly. The joint can be broken easily if required, and peeled off the metal surface.

Another product, an aerosol cleaner, removes oil, grease and dirt from vehicle parts, is non-flammable and can be used for preparing surfaces for adhesive bonding and sealing.
